Rocky Mountain Instrument (RMI) is looking for an account management specialist who desires a career in rapidly growing photonics industry. We are a US based manufacturer of precision optics, thin film coatings and optical assemblies service a prestigious customer base within aerospace, defense, industrial medical laser, life science and semiconductor arenas.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Handles inbound sales calls and converts calls into sales.
• Provides information to customers related to their technical specifications and requirements and company capabilities.
• Quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships.
• Works with internal departments to resolve job questions.
• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
• Provides order status and is the primary customer contact post sale
• May prospect and research potential leads
• Travels to and attends up to four trade shows annually.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university preferred; or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess and aptitude for Science, Technology, Engineering and or Math to learn and understand customer needs and to present product offerings effectively to customers.

Must be detail-oriented and possess strong communication and relational skills. A background in customer care in a service industry is helpful. Ability to learn technical information is required.
